It’s been a brilliant league campaign for the Adult team, who finished the group stages unbeaten in the County League. The team showed real composure, battling hard to dig out key wins and delivering consistent performances.
They opened the campaign with an impressive 3-12 to 2-09 away win over Passage when we had 9 different scorers the day, followed by a hard-fought home victory against Killavullin, edging it 1-09 to 0-10. An exciting 4-08 to 4-08 draw away to Kilworth kept the momentum going, and the group stage wrapped up with a solid 4-06 to 1-03 win at home to Dripsey this morning.
We had 26 different players lining out over the course of the league. The team now progresses to the semi-final, where they’ll face the runners-up of Group 2. Well done to the players and management. The team is Captained by Aileen Hurley.
