A Nail-biting encounter, St. Catherine's U13 ladies' team narrowly missed out on county glory, succumbing to a one-point defeat against Mitchelstown.

The game was a closely contested affair, with both teams displaying exceptional skill and determination. Despite a strong effort from the St. Catherine's forwards and tireless work from the from the backs and midfield,  the team struggled to find momentum in the first half, trailing behind Mitchelstown at the break.

However, the team regrouped and refocused at half-time, and their efforts paid off
St. Catherine's scored their first score, a point on the 31st minute, and from there, the game turned into a thrilling contest. Both teams battled hard for every ball, and the atmosphere in the stand was electric. Parents and spectators jumping from their seats.

In the end, Mitchelstown's determination proved to be just enough, as they took home the win. Despite the disappointment of defeat, the St. Catherine's team can hold their heads high, knowing they gave it their all and left everything on the field. The future looks bright for this talented group of young players! We are very proud.
