As many of you are aware St Catherine’s GAA club are in the process of developing a 3rd playing field. After a significant amount work with our stakeholders, local authority etc we are delighted to confirm that this week we lodged planning permission with Cork County Council for this development!
This application includes a new full-sized sand-based pitch, dressing rooms, a car park, a viewing stand, an extended walkway along with the extension of current roadway down to the new grounds.
Thanks to the incredible generosity of our supporters (including the proceeds of our Strictly Fundraiser) we will be able to fund the purchase of the field without resorting to borrowing.
My sincere thanks to our Development Committee for their hard work and to all our volunteers who help in so many ways to run our club both on & off the field.
Finally, I wish all our teams across our male & female codes the very best of luck for the remainder of the season!
