Quid Games Prize Giving Ceremony

On Friday January 30th the Quid Games winners & all the participants’ charity groups were presented with their prize money.  The joint winners were Ronan Clancy representing St Catherine’s National School Conna and Richard Barry who represented Conna Community Council.

Chairperson Ed Galvin thanked all the participants, our main sponsor New Ireland Assurance, all our sponsor and supporters who helped make the night such a success. He pointed out that with 10% of all monies raised by our participants donated back to their charities, in total over €10,000 was donated to fantastic groups & charities through the fundraiser.

In addition to the main prize winners, other groups to receive donations through the participants included Focus Ireland, The Simon Community, Irish Motor Neurone Disease Association, Butterflies Preschool, St Olivers GAA, Ardmore GAA, Marymount Hospice, Irish Cancer Society, Cairde & Light House Charity.  St Catherine’s LGFA, Camogie & Juvenile GAA clubs also benefitted from the 10% donations received by participants representing those clubs.

The club expects to shortly receive planning permission for the development of the 3rd pitch with enabling works planned to start during 2026.
