It is with great sadness that St. Catherine’s Juvenile Club learned of the unexpected passing of our dear friend and club stalwart, Redmond Higgins, on Friday morning.
Redmond gave so much to St. Catherine’s Club over many years. As Secretary of the juvenile club around 1985, he played a vital role in the development of underage GAA, and his dedication continued for many years through his tremendous contribution to our Cúl Camps. His commitment, generosity, and love for the club left a lasting impact on generations of young players and their families. Above all, Redmond was a great friend to so many within our community.
As a mark of respect to Redmond and his family, all juvenile activities this evening along with tonight’s U16 Football Championship game, have been postponed.
We extend our deepest sympathies to Paul, Richard, Sr Mary ,Fiona, Cathal, Chloe, and the entire Higgins family at this very difficult time.
